Ellen "Louise" Miller, age 99, of Independence, Missouri, passed into eternity, with her daughter and son-in-law by her side, on September 23, 2019 at Crown Care Center, Harrisonville, Missouri. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 28th at noon followed by graveside services at 1.00 p.m. at Floral Hills Funeral Home & Cemetary, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd., Kansas City, Missouri 64133.
Louise was born January 27, 1920, in Maryville, Missouri to parents Floyd Dell Conley and Doris Ellen Conley. She graduated from Maryville High School where she met and married her high school sweetheart, Glenn Merrill Belt. They moved to Kansas City where she was employed by the National Headquarters of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, retiring after more than 25 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd Dell and Doris Ellen Conley; her husband, Glenn Merrill Belt and one brother, Joseph Dell Conley.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Jo Ellen Deckard (Jimmy); grandson, Patrick Sulzberger (Shellie); nephew, Jimmy Conley (Joyce) and many other loving family members.
The family wishes to thank Asana Hospice & Palliative Care, and especially nurses Kendra and Christina, for the excellent care and compassion given to Louise in her final journey home as well as their kindness and support to her family.
