She graduated from Paseo High School and worked for Black Sivalls and Bryson, Fishburn and Gold Patent Attorneys, Rogers and Smith Advertising, and The Poultry and Egg Institute. She also worked for the Department of Agriculture for 16 years, retiring in 1994.
She was a loving, kind and generous person and she was blessed with lifelong friends from work and also from her neighborhood, where she lived for over 50 years. She loved gardening and had many beautiful flowers in her garden. Elizabeth will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her husband, Gary; her siblings; Esther Ruth Schaefer, Martin Schaefer and Ronald M. Schaefer; and her son, Michael Marsh.
She is survived by her daughter, Kimberly A Scraggs (Jeff) of Overland Park, KS; daughter-in-law Suzanne Heflin (Brian); sister-in-law, Diane Marsh of Kansas City, MO; sister-in-law, Judy Schaefer-Piet (John) of Ballwin, MO, and extended family.
Elizabeth’s ashes will be placed in the Niche in the Garden Walk of Memories at Mount Moriah Cemetery, 10507 Holmes Rd, Kansas City, Missouri.
A small private gathering will be held at a later date to celebrate her life and the love she gave to her family and friends.
