Betty was born on April 5, 1931 in Edinburgh, Scotland to Walter and Margaret "Peggy" Clarke. She was one of three children and had a brother, John, and a younger sister, Maureen, who she missed very much. Elizabeth met the love of her life, Gene Crawford, in Suffolk, England in 1950 and soon after got married and had six children with him, Michael, Lynn, Mary, Elizabeth, Thomas and Tommy. She had 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 21 great-great-grandchildren. She also has many nieces and nephews abroad who she loved dearly and so many friends who became family over the years.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Peggy; her siblings, John and Maureen; her husband, Gene; three of her children, Thomas, Mary Ann and Tommy; and her great-grandson, Richard Wayne.
She loved gardening, making crafts, doing puzzles, coloring, knitting, fishing and most importantly, spending time with her family who she loved more than anything. Elizabeth Ellen "Betty" Crawford is now reunited with her family in Heaven. Although she is no longer with us here on earth, we find comfort in the fact that she is with them in Heaven, rejoicing, dancing, singing and no longer feeling any pain.
A visitation for Elizabeth will be held on Friday, March 24, 2023 from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Drexel Hall, 3301 Baltimore Ave, Kansas City, MO 64111, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 pm.
