Eleanor Johnson, 99, was called to be with the Lord Thursday, Dec.21, 2017.She was at home with family. She was a life long resident of Kansas City until she moved to assisted living in Leawood,Kansas three years ago. She was a homemaker while her daughters were growing up, then worked as a secretary at Bendix(Honeywell) until she retired. Eleanor was a charter member of Colonial Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School, vacation Bible school, participated in Sunday classes, older adults activities and women’s study circles. She and her husband sponsored the college age group. Eleanor loved the lord and was a wonderful example of a Christian woman of faith for her children, family and friends. Eleanor enjoyed traveling, searching for antiques, having lunch with friends and playing bridge. She made holidays and birthdays special, family times and enjoyed Friday game nights or any time the family was together. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Leonard Johnson. She is survived by daughters, Barbara Fleming ( John ) and Joyce Cotter ( Danny ), grandchildren Scott Fleming ( Molyka ), Wade Fleming ( Bethany ), Dana Perkinson ( Brad ), Chanda Kelley ( Eric ), Ryan Cotter (Sabrina), and great-grandchildren Samantha, Allen, Malena and Allison Fleming, Viola and Swayze Perkinson and Logan and Emily Cotter and many nieces and nephews . Thanks Mom for your never ending love and support. Celebration of Eleanor’s Life will be Friday, December 29, 2017 at 10:00 am with visitation at 9:00 am at Floral Hills Funeral Home.
