Edna M. Mott, 99, of Kansas City, passed away on April 14, 2012 at Hidden Lake Care Center. Funeral mass at St. Bernadette’s Catholic Church (9020 E. 51st Terr. KCMO 64133) on Thursday, April 19th at 10:30am. Inurnment at a later date. Edna was born in Portland, OR on April 4, 1913 to Herman & Marie Goetz. She married C.L. Mott in 1936 who preceded her in death. Edna was a successful business woman in the 1950s & 60s. She owned & managed a grocery store, 3 restaurants, 2 gas stations & a motel. In the mid 1960s she began selling real estate and was a member of the original group that developed Metro North Shopping Center. Edna then managed a large mobile home park in the Northland until her retirement in 1989. In retirement she was even busier; volunteering at the Seaton Center, serving 12,450 hours for Cancer Action & served on numerous committees at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Gladstone, MO. Survivors include her daughter, Shirley McNulty Woods & husband Bill of Raytown, MO; grandsons, James McNulty & wife Liz of Las Cruces, NM, Steven McNulty & wife Lisa of Whitehouse, TX and Daniel McNulty of Kansas City, MO; great-grandchildren, Stephanie, Joseph, Jim, Alisan, Caleb, Sean & Erin. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the compassionate caregivers from Kansas City Hospice.
