Visitation will be Thursday, October 8th from 6-8pm and funeral service/burial on Friday, October 9th at 2pm. An outdoor funeral service will be held at the graveside. Due to Covid restrictions, outdoor seating will not be provided. Please bring your own chair.

Dorothy “Dot” was born on February 25, 1933 in Macon, MO to Floy and Jack Wills. She graduated from Macon High School in 1951.
She married Edward Mc Laughlin in 1952 and moved to Kansas City where she was a lifelong resident. They were happily married for 25 years.
In 1956 they welcomed their only child Debbie.
Dorothy was a stay at home mom and wife until 1978 at which time she went to work at Hill Flower Shop. She later found her passion working at the Blue Ridge Mall information booth.
Dorothy was a lifetime member of Rockwood Baptist Church where she faithfully attended Sunday morning bible school and church service.
She lived life to the fullest and enjoyed many things. Square dancing, her neighborhood, ping pong, country music, smiling, feeding the birds, playing cards, Sorry, pennies, hosting parties, the chicken dance, working in the yard, and most of all spending time with her family.
Later in life she enjoyed traveling the country and camping with her daughter Debbie and son in law Bill.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Debbie Caudill and son in law Bill Caudill of Independence. 2 grandchildren Tony Caudill (wife Kelly) of Kansas City and Nickie Hobbs (husband Aaron) of Grain Valley. Three great grandchildren Jackson, Katie, and Reed. Brother Jim Wills (wife Amy) of Warsaw, MO. She also leaves behind a brother in law Keith McLaughlin (his wife Charlotte), Sister in law Colleen Reid and several nieces and nephews. She will be missed by many others including those who considered her their “Grandma Mc”. She is proceeded in death by her parents, her husband Edward, 2 sisters, and a special friend Bob.
