Dorothy was born July 7, 1926 in Independence, MO. the daughter of Roscoe V. Cornell and Sudie Mae (Miller) Walker. She was a lifelong resident of the area. She was employed as a secretary for the Reliable Life Insurance Company for 22 years before retiring.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband: Cecil A. King, Jr.; her daughter: Jeanne Lea Rhodes; her sister: Ann M. Reeker and her brother: Charles E. Cornell.
She is survived by: One Son: Cecil A. (Wife: Shelly) King of Blue SPrings, MO., two granddaughters: Kimberly Myong King of Hollywood, FL., Kelly Jean King of Lee's Summit. MO., four nieces, ; one nephew; six great nieces and four great nephews.
