Doris Colleen Davis, 84, of Lee’s Summit, MO, passed away on December 7th, 2014. Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 700 NE Chipman Rd., Lee’s Summit, MO, from 9:30-10:30 a.m. with the service to follow. Burial will be at Mt. Moriah Cemetery South following the service.
Colleen was dedicated to her church, family and friends. She volunteered her time and artistic talents as a Cub Scout den mother, Girl Scout troop leader, Sunday School teacher, Kaleidoscope volunteer and involvement with many other organizations. Colleen taught oil painting classes for many years and enjoyed painting throughout her life.
Mostly, Colleen was an example of living a faithful life for Christ. Her family and others she touched were blessed because of her. Colleen was preceded in death by her beloved husband David. She is survived by her son Steve Davis and wife, daughter Kathy Rohner and husband, five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
