Memorial Services will be held on Monday, April 26, 2021 at 11 am Mt. Moriah, Newcomer & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes, Rd, Kansas City, Missouri. A Memorial Reception will follow the services at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to John Knox Village Hospice House.
Doris was born to Willard and Goldie (Scholes) Craft on January 6, 1932 in Harrisonville, Missouri. She grew up in Adrian, Missouri and graduated from Adrian High School. Doris was married to Jim Boyer in 1950 in Kansas City. She retired from Employers Mutual Insurance Company in 1996. She was a former member of Hickman Mills Community Christian Church.
Doris was preceded in death by her husband, Jim Boyer; one son, Jerold; her parents, Willard and Goldie Craft. Survivors include her son, Jimmie Boyer, Jr. (Francy) of Kansas City, MO; daughter Linda Picard (Steve) of Raymore, MO; grandson Jeremie Picard of Raymore, MO; and granddaughter Jennifer Picard of Raymore, MO; sisters, Bettie Attebury (Richard), Topeka, KS, Norma Evans, Belton, MO, and Ruby Davis, Meridian, KS.
