He eventually moved to Raytown, Missouri and made it his home.
Donald was a proud Army Veteran who fought in the Korean War. He had many words of wisdom and a lot of war stories to tell. He could totally keep you captivated. He met, fell in love, and married Rosemary Nash’s heart and married her on November 24, 1962.
Donald enjoyed living life. His most enjoyable times were when he was bowling, fishing, wood carving, and puttering around the city on his scooter.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary; father, Clint; mother, Kate; two brothers, Marvin and Ray Smith; and two sisters, Helen Sapp and Doris Buce.
He leaves to cherish his memories are his two daughters, Cindy Douglas (Glenn), and Ginny Sperry (Brian); one son, Terry Don Smith; four grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and 2 great great-grandchildren.
Donald passed away on March 12, 2022 at the age of 90.
He will be laid to rest with his wife, Rosemary at Floral Hills Cemetery, Raytown, Missouri on March 24, 2022.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only family members present.
