Debra Ann Sanders

Debbie was born in Danville, IL on April 4th, 1953. She later moved to Springfield, IL while in Jr. High, and in 1969 moved to Kansas City, MO and attended Raytown South High School.

Debbie was married on March 25th, 1972 and was a wife to Chris Sanders for 50 years. Together they raised their son Christopher who would bring three grandkids into their lives.

Debbie actively served at the First Baptist Church of Belton and Heartland Christian School over the last 30 plus years. She also worked at Kirklands and did house cleaning to fill her time.

She was preceded in death by her sister Vickie Batts and her Mother Geneva Ponder. She is survived by her husband Chris Sanders, Son Christopher Sanders (Marla),Grandkids Gabriel, Samuel, and Elijah, her father Russ Ponder, Brother Steve Kingrey (Kay) and sister Pam Colvin (Mike) and her many nieces and nephews.

A visitation for Debra will be held Monday, July 18, 2022 from 10:00a to 11:00a at First Baptist Church of Belton, 810 S Cedar St, Belton, MO 64012, the funeral service will begin at 11:00a. Following the service there will be a graveside committal at Floral Hills Cemetery, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the First Baptist Church of Belton
