David Allen Raines, age 71, of Lee's Summit, Missouri, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 5, 2023. David was born and grew up in Kansas City, Missouri. He attended Longview Community College and Platt College for Electrical Drafting & Design. He worked for several companies as an electrical draftsman/designer and later worked for Cardinal Health Deliveries. He was very proud of the home he designed and built for Nawassa and himself in Lee's Summit, Missouri. David loved being outdoors, especially his time with Nawassa at their lake house -- boating, fishing, watching wildlife and just hanging out. David was fond of classic hard rock "AC/DC," and motorcycles.
He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nawassa; his parents, Robert and Priscilla Raines; and brother, Larry. He leaves behind family and many friends who will always cherish his memory.
Visitation will be held 10:30 - 11 a.m., Thursday, August 10 followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Drexel Hall, 3301 Baltimore Ave., Kansas City, MO 64111.
