Dan was born June 26, 1939 in Kansas City, MO. After a few teenage adventures, at the age of 16, he was hired by Holman Dental Lab in Kansas City, MO as a delivery boy. Dan was one of only two non-dentists to ever receive the Aaron Gershkoff Memorial Award from the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.
Dan was also known for his love of fly fishing, restoring old cars, designing and building his dream car, the Racine, and an avid reader, especially of history.
