He married Kathryn (Reynolds) Rogers on Dec. 31st, 1982 in Miami, OK.
He was previously employed by General Motors Fairfax as an Assembly line Autoworker, retiring in 2008, after 43 years of employment.
He enjoyed family time, reading, education, history, nature, his dogs, camping, geology, the lake, photography, auto repair, golf, fitness, current events, teaching others.
He was in the United States Army and attained the rank of Sergeant.
He is survived by: his Wife: Kathryn Rogers, Three Sons: Neal (Kitty) Lipka, Chris Lipka and Adam (Chad) Rogers. Daughter: Melisa Rogers Dokos. Granddaughters: Kathryn Lipka, Kendra Rogers Cawthon. Three Grandsons: Joseph and Camden Lipka and Gavin Coakley. One Great-Grandson: Ayden Cawthon. Siblings: Beverly (Garth) Snodgrass, Don (Mary) Rogers, Shirley (Stan) Rorror, Gary Rogers.
He was preceded in death by: Father: Chester Rogers, Mother: Laura Rogers. Three Brothers: Chet, Howard and Kenneth Rogers. Sister: Ruth Riggs.
Memorial service to be held at a future date at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Raytown, MO.
