Charlie was born February 15, 1946 to Charles W. Peirce Jr. and Jean (Buono) Peirce in Norfolk, Virginia. He spent many of his childhood years in and around Braymer, Missouri where he graduated high school in 1964. After high school, Charlie left home and went out into the world to make his own way. His relentless positivity and work ethic, along with his natural curiosity and willingness to always learn more, were traits that he would carry with him for the rest of his life. He was a true “renaissance man” with many talents and areas of knowledge.
Charlie met his future wife Carol A. Elliott in Raytown, Missouri. They married in 1968. He and Carol raised their family in Raytown until 2002, when they moved to Raymore, Missouri. From health care to commercial painting to financial services to self-storage, Charlie’s long and distinguished career spanned many fields and many decades. At his core, Charlie simply loved people and was always willing to help. He could also make a great meatball.
Charlie was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved wife Carol. He is survived by his two children, Anthony (Kim) Woodard and Stefanie (Ryan) Berry; four grandchildren, Austin Woodard, Victoria Woodard, Jacob Berry, and Gabriel Berry; his step-mother Bonnie Peirce; brothers Dennis Peirce, Terry Peirce, Donald (Cheryl) Peirce, Michael (Trish) Peirce, a sister Luella Newberry, and many nephews and nieces, friends and colleagues.
