Charlie was a graduate of Raytown High School class of 1958. After completing his degree in Education at CSM Warrensburg, Missouri in 1964, he returned to his Alma Mater as a math teacher and retired 30 years later. Charlie was also a Key Club Sponsor for many years. He enjoyed mentoring and guiding his students. Charlie was a proud Eagle Scout and remained active in the scouting program at the Boy Scout Camp for many years.
He enjoyed traveling and much adventure. During the summer vacations, he would join friends and colleagues for challenging rendezvous like: Missouri Caving, backpacking in Hawaii, repelling in Mexico, and many more excursions like glacier hiking.
After retirement, his woodworking hobby became “Charles Watts Cabinet Shop”.
He was preceded in death by his parents and several lifelong friends.
Charlie was well loved by many past students, colleagues, friends, and neighbors. He will be missed by all including his cats named Cat, Black Cat, Gray Cat, and his canine best friend, Reeci.
