A hard worker, caring husband, proud father, and grandfather – Chuck was intentional about building a life filled with friendship, big love, and opportunity. A proud “wheeler and dealer,” Chuck loved classic cars and hot-rods, tools, art, guns, and oddities. In his mind, if something was a “good conversation starter,” he wanted to own it – and for Chuck, ownership was brief. Those who knew him well understood that in Chuck’s world – nearly everything was “for sale.”
Professionally, Chuck was a talented drywaller, collector, and consummate salesman. Of all his skills and talents, Chuck shined brightest through his ability to connect with people. Nearly every drywall job he finished or item he sold resulted in a friendship, including a job that introduced him to his best friend and soulmate, Cathy. Together for 24 years, Chuck would often say that Cathy “taught him what love was,” and that she made him a better man as a result.
Chuck was preceded in death by his grandparents, parents, and his wife, Cathy. He is survived by his sister, Nadine Griffith; his children, Reggie & Tony Fatino, Dawn Johnson, and Crystal & Robert Parris; his grandchildren, Hanna Podzielinski, Hayle Dority, Gracie Fatino, Kristin Thorpe, Steven Dison, Chloe Parris, Stella Parris, and Charlotte Parris; and his great-grandchildren, Nora Johnson, Cannon Dority, Madison Thrope, Cali Thorpe, and Elijah Thorpe; and his step-children, Paige Baraban and Cameron Baraban.
