Cecilia B. Reardon

Cecilia was born on April 5, 1931 in Kansas City, Missouri to Emil and Louise (Mueller) Abend. She graduated from Southeast High School in 1950. She worked for the Inter-Collegiate Press from the late 1940's to 1955 where she laid out photos for high school yearbooks. She then became a housewife, taking care of her four children.

Cecilia attended St. Mary's Catholic Church for 60 years. She was a Girl Scout Leader, member of Turners Swiss Club, Palmer Dance Group and Vesper Hall. She lost her husband Vincent L. Reardon, Sr. in 1992.

All of the family called Cecilia "Aunt Sissy". During her 5 years living at Parkway Senior Living Center in Blue Springs, her nickname became "CeCe". Cecilia's longtime friend from high school stayed in contact for over 50 years... Mary Frances Hampton became part of our family.

Cecilia was preceded in death by her parents, husband and son Kerry Reardon. She is survived by her daughter Janice (Patnode) Reardon, son Leroy Reardon, son Patrick Reardon, identical twin sister Helen Horan, brother Charles Abend, 8 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and 22 nieces & nephews.
