Carolyn Michael Johnson

She graduated from Braymer High School in 1947. She continued her education in the nursing field. She attended St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing in 1950 and worked at the same hospital as an RN until retiring in 1989.

Carolyn met, fell in love, and married Ervin Johnson on September 24, 1950. To this union 2 children were born.

Carolyn accepted Christ at an early age. She was very active in the United Methodist Church and Scouting.

She loved to play Pinochle. After retirement she enjoyed traveling with Ervin all over the United States and Mexico. Spending time with her family and friends, and watching the Royals and Chiefs play was her most favorite pass time.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Ervin Johnson; sisters, Eve Martin, Shirley Eagon, Waynette Stubblefield; mother, Hertha Michael; father, Dr. D. Wayne Michael.

She leaves to cherish her memories her Brother Bob Michael and children, Jan Edwards, Matt Johnson; grandchildren, Jamie Olander, Kris McGill, Stephanie Edwards, Nikki Edwards, Amanda McAlaster, Michael Edwards, Karen Johnson, and Kevin Johnson; great-grandchildren, Kaylee and Annaleise Olander, Dakota and Zola Gelsheimer, Aiden and Ashton McGill, Daemon and Malachi McAlaster, Amara Edwards, and Maverick Perkins.
