Bill was born on August 5, 1942 in Clinton, MO to Newton (Bud) and Lorene Glasscock. He spent most of his childhood in the Ruskin/Kansas City area, became an eagle scout, and graduated from Ruskin High School. On November 3, 1962, Bill married the love of his life, Martha (Marty) Reding. Together they made their home in Grandview and raised their 4 children. Bill and Marty were fortunate to live next door to his parents, Bud and Lorene. Bill loved spending time with family and friends, hosting big cookouts, and family holiday parties. He enjoyed spending time at the lake, fishing, hunting, racing, playing poker, bowling, NASCAR and the Chiefs. Bill worked with his dad in the utilities and trenching business. He served as a member of the National Guard and was a member of the Elks Lodge 2088 in Grandview.
Bill was preceded in death by his wife, Marty Glasscock. He is survived by his four children; Terry (De) Glasscock, Cheryl (Jeff) Miller, Ginger (Ed) Martens, and Lisa (Mark) Naylon, his brother Jerry (Beth) Glasscock, and 8 grandchildren. Bill will be dearly missed.
