Beverly Jean Seever

Visitation will be on Wednesday, October 24th at Floral Hills Funeral Home from 6:00 - 8:00pm. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, October 25th, at Floral Hills Funeral Home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Fraternal Order of Eagles #47, 10220 E. 47th, Raytown, MO 64133.

She graduated from St. Joseph Central High School in 1952. On September 11 of 1952, Beverly Jean Anderson married Franklin Dee Seever of St. Joseph, MO. The couple lived in Hawaii for a few years due to Frank’s Naval station assignment. During their marriage, they moved to several locations including St. Joe., Kansas City, St. Louis, and then finally landed in Raytown. They were married until his passing in 2001. Beverly then moved from Lee’s Summit to Kansas City, to Blue Springs, and then Grain Valley, MO.

Beverly was a member of Calvary/First United Methodist Church in Raytown until 1995, and then a member of Woods Chapel United Methodist Church until her passing. She was always active in some way at Calvary UM assisting with church dinners, committees, youth group, etc… She also delivered Meals on Wheels for over two years. In her later years, she became an active member of the Loyal Order of the Eagles #47.

Beverly was employed at the Internal Revenue Service for 6 tax seasons and the Marine Corp. Finance Center 9 years. She also held a position at J.C. Penneys during several Christmas seasons during the earlier to late 70s.

Beverly was loved by everyone who knew her. She was the life of the party and could talk to anyone at any time. Her passions throughout her life consisted of actively engaging at Calvary United Methodist Church and being a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She frequently enjoyed dancing, crafting, gambling, going out to eat, and the company of everyone around her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Margerite; step father Roy Shroyer; and husband, Franklin D. Seever.

Beverly is survived by her three children: Michael Seever of Springfield, MO, Cheryl Hanlon of Raytown, MO and Jeffrey Seever of Grain Valley, MO; 5 grandchildren: Michael Seever II of San Diego, CA, Jessica Hanlon of Raytown, MO, Jacob Hanlon of Raytown, MO, Jenna Hanlon of Cocoa, FL, and Kimberly Seever of Blue Springs, MO; 1 step grandchild: Justin Barcomb of St. Charles, MO; 3 great grandchildren: Jada Cummings of Raytown, MO, Riley Seever of San Diego, CA, and Olivia Seever of San Diego, CA; 2 brothers: Roy Shroyer of Lee’s Summit, MO, John Shroyer of St Joseph, MO; 4 sisters: Loretta O’Neal of St Joseph, MO, Janice Surface of St. Joseph, MO, Jeanie Burnham of St. Joseph, MO, and Sandy Wineinger of St. Joseph, MO; her best friend: Rita Wright of Raytown, MO; and her significant other: Charlie Mashburn of Blue Springs, MO.

In her final days, Beverly stated she loved everyone. She will be dearly missed!
