Betty Jean Martin

Betty Jean Martin, 90, born Oct. 11, 1924, passed away Oct. 26, 2014. Funeral services will be 10AM on Thursday, Oct. 30, at Floral Hills, visitation at 9AM. Burial to follow at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Wayside Waifs or Holy Family Parish.

She was born to Arthur & Magdaline Kramer. She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Jack, both parents, siblings Florence, Frank, and Arthur, son Jimmy, grandson Kenneth Jr., and great granddaughter Alisha.

She leaves her son Kenneth; niece and husband Cindy and Ed; niece Carol; daughters-in-laws Sharon and Linda; grandchildren Pam, Deborah, and Susan; 12 great grandchildren; and 13 great great grandchildren; as well as other survivors Gary, Marc, and Steve.

Betty was a lifelong resident of Kansas City. She had a long career as a cosmetics buyer and retired from Bruce Smith Drugs. She was a member of Holy Family Parish. She loved horse and dog races, going to the casinos, and sports.
