Art married the love of his life, Lurline, on August 29, 1952, after serving in the Marine Corps. They were married 67 years, 8 months before her passing on April 12, 2020. They raised three kids and were the best parents anyone could ever ask for. Art was a very hard working man. He was a carpenter by trade. He designed and built homes the family lived in. He received his realtor license as well as a side job. Art LOVED playing games. Cards, board games, horseshoes, you name it he was ready. He was a champ at dominoes. Another one of his favorite past times was eating. He LOVED to eat. He always said the only thing he didn’t like was liver and onions. After a meal he’d like to finish it off with dessert, which could be another meal in itself. He was a man of great faith and loved his family and church so much. He was a very kind-hearted, generous, loving, gentle, man who loved everyone and touched the heart of anyone he came into contact with, famous for his winks, blowing kisses, and always had a smile on his face. ALWAYS. Such a sweet, sweet spirit. Not a mean bone in his body. He will be missed so very much.
