Anthony "Tony" Vaughn Gafney, age 77, of Merriam, Kansas passed away on Tuesday, September 14, 2021.
Tony was born October 23, 1943 in Joplin, Missouri to Austin and Maxine Gafney. He loved his family unconditionally. He retired from Market Merchandisers. Tony was a Reserve for the Jackson County Sheriff's Department for 38 years. He never met a stranger. He belonged to the Millcreek Gun Club and loved to shoot.
He is survived by his wife Sharon (Kirtley) Gafney, his son Scott Gafney (Michele), his grandsons Jordan and Jonah (Jasmine), his great-granddaughter Esmé, his brother Michael Gafney (Janet) as well as his nieces & nephews.
