Alma Janet Frederick

Alma Janet ‘Harbison’ Frederick was born August 29, 1936 in Greenville, MS to Joseph Harbison and Mable Rodgers. She graduated E. E. Bass High School and married Albert Frederick in 1954. During her life Janet held a variety of jobs which included electronics assembly, pre-school teacher, customer service as well as wife, mother and grandmother.

Janet moved to the Kansas City area in 1957 with 3 small daughters; two additional daughters were born in the years that followed. Janet was a member of Harvest Baptist Blues Springs Mo. During her lifetime she enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, playing Scrabble and travel when she was able.

Janet was preceded in death by her parents, sister Billie Jones and daughter Donna Tuescher. Survivors include Albert, daughters Debbie Bedell and Lisa Rocha Independence, MO, Angela Devine Covington, GA, Teresa and Mike Atchley Conyers, GA, son-in-law Richard Tuescher Independence, Mo, three sisters Margie Godwin and Connie Sprouse of Water Valley, MS and Linda Stern of Metarie, LA. She had 10 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Visitation will be at D.W. Newcomer, Floral Hills, 7000 Blue Ridge Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64133, on January 18, 2020 at 9 am, Memorial service at 10am followed by gravesite.
