Alice Hernandez

Alice Robles Gandara Martinez, 86 of Kansas City, MO entered into eternal peace on Tuesday, October 10, 2017 at St. Luke’s Hospice House surrounded by her family. Funeral services will be 10:00 am Saturday, October 14, 2017 at Northland Abundant Life Church, 7700 N. Church Road, Kansas City, MO. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery, 6600 N.E, Antioch Road, Kansas City, MO. Visitation will be 6-8 pm Friday, October 13 at the Mc Gilley Midtown Chapel, 20 W. Linwood Blvd., Kansas City, MO, where a rosary will be prayed at 7:00 pm.

Alice was born May 31, 1931 in Ledyard, IA to Bernardino Robles and Guadalupe (Acosta) Robles. She held various positions during her life and retired from UMB Bank Cafeteria after 10 years. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church. She loved family gatherings, babies, embroidery, sewing, her roses, Zumba dancing and yoga at Don Bosco Center. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene, her parents; her brothers, Benito, Joe, Steve and Fred; sisters, Bridget Fronseca and Jessie Zapien. Alice is survived by three daughters, Gloria O’Leary (Mike), Joplin, MO, Alice Muzquiz and Linda Dickerson and her son, Michael Gandara (Rachelle), all of Kansas City, MO. She is also survived by five sisters, Mary Candillo, Carmen Aldrich (Robert), Dolores Galvin, Anita Medina (Louis) and Helen Redford (Steve); deeply loved by her 12 grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren1 great-great granddaughter and two more on the way, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
