Adrianna Marie Diaz-Zimmerman, 30, of Kansas City, MO passed away on Saturday, July 4th, 2020. A funeral service will be conducted in her honor on Saturday, July 18, 2020 at 10:00 AM at the McGilley Antioch Chapel Funeral Home, 3325 NE Vivion Road, Kansas City, MO 64119. A visitation will be held the evening of Friday, July 17, 2020 from 5:00 PM-8:00 PM at the funeral home. Following services Adrianna will be laid to rest in Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, KS.
Adrianna was born on August 27, 1989 in Kansas City, MO at St. Luke’s Hospital on the Plaza to parents Charleen Denise Diaz and Benjamin Diaz II. She attended Winnetonka High School and graduated in 2008.
Adrianna was a very loving daughter, granddaughter, sister, mother and friend. She had the most beautiful smile that could light up your soul. She always had an optimistic outlook on life. Her curiosity of the universe led her to staring at the stars, dreaming for hours. Her world revolved around her children and family. If you were lucky enough to be present when she gazed into her children’s eyes, the pure joy radiating from her would blind you.
Adrianna is preceded in death by her great-grandmother, Mary Diaz; great-grandfather, John Nevins; and uncle, Antonio Diaz.
She leaves behind her sons, Andrew Jacob Zimmerman (10) (Andrew’s father, Jake) and Nathanuel Alec Zimmerman (5); mother, Charleen Denise Diaz; father, Benjamin Diaz II; sister, Alexandra Rose Diaz; brothers, Gabriel Diaz and Benjamin Diaz III; grandparents, Debbie (Shawn) Regan, Paul Simpson Sr., Carmen Diaz, and Edward Diaz Sr.; stepdads, Joel Morgan, Glen Cain; Fiancé, Junior Minchew and his children, Tamsin and Connor Minchew; and a very special family who she loved for eight years, Rufus, Bailey, and Zachary Zimmerman and grandparents, Esmaelita and Steve Tatum, and grandfather, Zack Zimmerman, along with a multitude of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends to cherish her memory.
