Theresa was born on November 12, 1928, to Clara (Hanway) Gach and Joseph Gach. She graduated from the Convent of the Sacred Heart in St. Joseph, MO in 1946. In 1949 she married Ed Jaskinia and moved to Kansas City, KS.
She is survived by five children, Ed Jr, Bill, Alan (Paula), Rita Kroft (Dennie) and Donna Segura (Steve), many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and lots of nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings, her husband Ed Sr, and their son Dennis.
She worked at a myriad of places including Sunshine Biscuits, Swift & Co., Russell Stover’s Candies, and Hallmark Cards. After retiring from Hallmark, she went on to work in the cafeteria at Arrowhead Middle School and later at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. She loved helping people through her volunteer work with Cancer Action.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at Christ the King Catholic Church located at 3024 N 53rd Street in Kansas City, KS from 9:00-10:00am, followed by the Rosary. A Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 10:30am. A luncheon will immediately follow in the church basement.
The family would like to thank the staff at Kansas City Hospice for their compassionate care during the last year. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Theresa’s name, to Christ the King Catholic Church, or Kansas City Hospice.
She was loved and will be dearly missed by many.
