Robert “Bob” George Dietzman, 65, of Parkville, MO passed away April 1, 2014. A visitation will be held Sunday, April 6th from 5:00-7:00 PM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK with funeral service Monday, April 7th at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment with Honors will follow services at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations may be made to Kansas City Hospice, 1500 Meadow Lane Pkwy, KC, MO 64114. Bob was born November 15, 1948 in KCK to William and Archadene Dietzman. He graduated from Wyandotte High School in 1966. In 1967 he married Linda Williams. Bob served his country in the United States Army until 1975 and is a Vietnam Veteran. He worked for the Union Pacific Railroad as a switchman, brakeman and conductor and retired from the USPS, where he worked in machine maintenance. Bob belonged to the American Legion in Parkville, MO. He enjoyed coaching his kids baseball teams, drove racecars and was a gearhead. Bob built from scratch, a 1928 Model A pickup hotrod.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, and his brother, Bill Dietzman. He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Linda Dietzman of the home; son, Robert George Dietzman, Jr. (Cynthia Littrell) of Gladstone; daughter, Angela Jean Joyce (Thomas) of KCK; son, Thomas Edward Dietzman (Kim) of Plattsburg, MO; as well as eight grandchildren, two sisters (one of Inola, OK and one of Sebastin, FL), and one brother of Mosheim, TN, and many other friends and family.
