Richard Lee Norman passed away on June 22, 2020 at Healthcare Resort of Kansas City, KS from melanoma cancer. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 7th from 5-7 pm at the Chapel Hill Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112.
Richard graduated from F.L. Schlagle High School Class of 1984.
He was involved in KCK Huggers Special Olympics Group, active and past President of KCK Civitan Ex-Men Club, devoted employee of Walmart Supercenters for 27 years and a member of KCKCC Wellness Center.
His past time hobbies included telling fun jokes, visiting Dave & Buster’s on half-priced Wednesdays, KCK Huggers Bowling League, miniature golf, painting, Thursday night dinners and games at his brother’s house and picnics and dances with the KCK Huggers Special Olympics Group.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents Donald Arthur Norman and Bonnie Lou Norman (Massey.)
He is survived by his true love Melissa Hylton, brothers Donald Norman, Jr. (Ida), Paul Norman (Deborah), Phillip Norman (Belinda), Steven Norman (Jennifer), eleven nieces and nephews and nineteen great nieces and nephews.

Richard loved and embraced life to the fullest. His genuine generosity and kindness will truly be missed.
