Judy Eileen Schuberger, 78, of Kansas City, Kansas passed away peacefully at her home on October 19, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 AM, Wednesday, October 27th, 2021 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 1086 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS. A graveside service will be held immediately following at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6-8:30 PM with the Holy Rosary being prayed at 6:30 PM, Tuesday, October 26th, 2021 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS 66112.
Judy was born on July 27, 1943 in Pittsburg, Kansas, to Roy and Katherine (Caresio) Perry and grew up in Cherokee, Kansas. She graduated from Cherokee High School where she also met her high school sweetheart, Jerry. Soon after graduation, they were married and started their lives together in 1961. She worked at Meadow Sweet Dairy and Prudential Life Insurance in Pittsburg Kansas and moved to Kansas City, Kansas in 1968. She was a stay at home mom for years until she went back to work in 1985 at EPIQ Systems as an Executive Assistant for 22 years until she retired in 2007.
Judy was a proud mother of 3 children and was involved in many school activities including field trips, serving hot lunches, volunteering for the school masses and never missed her children or grandchildren’s sporting events or school functions.
She enjoyed bowling, playing cards with her friends, shopping but most of all, her annual lake trips with her family.
Judy is survived by her husband of 60 years, Lawrence (Jerry) Schuberger; her 3 children, son, Zane Schuberger and twin daughters, Amber Serrano and Andrea Hays; daughter-in-law, Janis Schuberger; son-in-law, Danny Hays; 8 grandchildren, Tony and his wife Hillary, Taylor, Wyatt, Dominic, Luke, Emma, Sophia, and Blakely; 3 great grandchildren, Rowden, Henley and Rip; sisters-in-law, Kay and Barbara; brothers-in law, Bill and John; and other extended family.
She is preceded in her passing by her parents, Roy and Katherine Perry; brother, Roy Jr.; sister, Margaret; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alice and Lawrence Schuberger.
Judy was the center and heart of her family, a lover of life and the most caring, loving wife, mother, grandma, and great grandma on earth. Her most favorite quote was, “My Heaven is here on earth with my family.”
