Jennifer Harrah, 45, was taken too soon on October 13, 2014. Her visitation will be Sunday, October 19th from 1:00-4:00 p.m. at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Monday, October 20th at the funeral home, with interment to follow in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
Jennifer was born July 8, 1969 in Kansas City, Kansas to Delmar and Delores Harrah. She graduated from Sumner High School and then graduated with honors with a double major in business and accounting from Pittsburg State University. Jennifer worked for Cramer for 16 years as an accountant and was also head of their social committee, organizing volunteer work for Habitat for Humanity, food pantries and all other events. She has recently been working for Mobile Hydraulics. Jennifer attended Shoal Creek Church in Pleasant Valley and was a member of the Jaycees and the Bead Society as well as organizing charity bike rallies and other events.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Oscar and Virginia Hammar, Herbert and Anna Harrah and her father, Delmar Harrah.
Jennifer is survived by her mother, Delores Wood of KCK; her fiancé, Russel Edwards of Kansas City, Kansas; her step-children, Lauren and Brandon Edwards; her step-siblings, Mischell, Debbie and Teresa Harrah of Oklahoma City and Michael and Paul Wood of Kansas City, Kansas; her aunts and uncles, Linda Shatto of Paola, Rebecca Cleveland of Kansas City, Kansas, Mike and Connie Terrell of Olathe, Steven and Robin Hammer of Paola, Becky Moody of Kansas City, Kansas, Wendy Sachuvich of Overland Park, Kansas and David Harrah of McLouth, Kansas; as well as numerous cousins, friends and other family.
