Hattie B Freeman

Hattie B. Freeman, 91, of Overland Park passed away Tuesday, December 31, 2013. A visitation will be held Friday, January 3rd from 10:00-11:00 AM with a funeral service at 11:00 AM at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, KS. The family suggests memorial contributions to Great Plains SPCA, 5428 Antioch Drive, Merriam, KS 66202.

Hattie was born April 30, 1922 to William and Roxie Stone. She was the youngest of 10 siblings. Hattie married Raymond F. Freeman in 1940. She enjoyed square dancing with Raymond in their younger days. Hattie enjoyed crafting, cooking, gardening and walking her dogs.

Hattie was preceded in death by her parents; 10 siblings; husband, Raymond and grandson, Toby Freeman. She leaves behind to cherish her memory a son, Ray Freeman and wife Trudi; a daughter, Pat Freeman; grandson Gabe Freeman and wife Maggie, grandson Kurt Kessler and wife Stephanie; granddaughter Gretchen Brittain and husband Tom; great-grandchildren Reese Brittain, Madeline Brittain, Zach Brittain, Annika Kessler and Grant Kessler and loving canine companions Stedman and Lilly.
