Esther O. (Crawford) Reed

Esther O. Crawford Reed, 93, of Bonner Springs, KS received her angel wings Monday, January 20, 2014 at Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas. Visitation will be from 12:00-1:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2014 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home, 701 N. 94th St., Kansas City, Kansas with Funeral services at 1:00 p.m. Interment will follow the service in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.

Esther was born to Ora and Everett Crawford on March 24, 1920. Esther married the love of her life, Clifford Cecil Reed in 1936; together they loved and nurtured their 6 children, along with their spouses, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory,her children: Dorothy Armstrong, David (Patty) Reed, Don (Bonnie) Reed, Linda (Jerry) Vest, Steve (Nancy) Reed & Brenda Folsom; 18 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren & 14 great-great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Esther was preceded in death by her parents, and husband of 55 years, Clifford Cecil Reed, infant daughter Dorris Jean and granddaughter Janis (Armstrong) Higbee.

Esther will be remembered for her love of family. Our lives will never be the same without her beautiful smile.
