David A. Reed, 41, of KCK, passed away Tues., Jan. 15, 2013. Graveside services will be 3:00 p.m., Fr., Jan. 18 at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. Friends may call from 1:00-3:00 at Chapel Hill-Butler, 701 N. 94th St., KCK. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the KCK Special Olympics.
David was born February 10, 1971 to Alfred and Louise Reed. A lifelong Kansas City resident, he worked at Rescare and was very active with the Special Olympics. David loved bowling, playing Bunko and dancing. He took every opportunity to be with his friends and family, to go out to eat, sing karaoke, or take trips. David enjoyed taking pictures and watching television. He had a wonderful laugh and his family said he never met a stranger.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Pearl and Tony Lawrentiew and his father Alfred Reed.
David is survived by his mother, Louise Reed of the home; sister Amy Reed of Denver, uncle Edward Lawrentiew of KCK; cousin, Madison Lawrentiew; as well as many special friends.
