Christine Ellen “Chris” Merritt, 66, of Kansas City, Kansas, left to be with the Lord on December 31, 2016. She was born June 20, 1950 in Minneapolis, Minnesota and was raised by her parents Milo Edward and Jo (Johnson) Vail. She was preceded in death by her son, Steven and her brother, Brendan.
Christine is survived by her son, Carl McRoy and his wife Luceta and their children, Charis and Malachi; her daughter, Roberta Merritt and her children, Christerfer, Champayne, Robert III, Ralph, Destiny, and Diamond; her mother, Jo Vail; her siblings, Ray Vail and his wife Bonnie, Pam Conley, Bruce Vail, Linda Riedel and her husband Mark, and Milo John Vail; her aunt, Mary Lou; many nieces, nephews and cousins; and family friend, Lee Carroll.
Her bright spirit and generous heart will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
