Charles H. Crouss, 56, of Kansas City, KS passed away Thursday, September 9, 2010 surrounded by his loving family at Providence Medical Center. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at the Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home. Cremation to follow. Visitation will be 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 13, 2010 at the Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to The American Diabetes Association. Charles was born on August 29, 1954 in Kansas City, KS to Charles Kenneth and Mary Louise (Bryan) Crouss. He graduated from Washington High School in 1972. Charles worked as a Campus Police Officer for the Kansas City, KS Public School District, Wyandotte County Sheriff Reserves and as a KCKCC campus police officer. Charles enjoyed family gatherings and spending time with his family. He will be sadly missed by everyone who knew him. He never met a stranger and was always willing to help someone in need. Charles is preceded in death by his mother; Mary Louise Crouss and brother; Ronnie Ray. Survivors include his wife of 37 years Debra M. (Jaccard) Crouss, daughter; Amy Crouss, son; Charlie Crouss and his wife Amanda all of Kansas City, KS. Left behind to cherish his memory are his three grandchildren; McKayla, Chandler and Dawson. Charles is also survived by his father; Charles Kenneth Crouss and a sister Martha Sutter.
