Betty Seymour

Betty Jo Seymour, 85, passed away September 29, 2013 in Kansas City, KS at Presbyterian Manor. A visitation will be held Friday, October 4th from 1:30-2:30 at Chapel Hill-Butler Funeral Home with a graveside service to follow immediately after at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 701 N. 94th St. KCKS. Betty was born June 17, 1928 in McFall, Missouri. She married R.G. Seymour on March 27, 1949. Betty was a homemaker and spent her time taking care of her family. She enjoyed sewing clothes for her kids when they were growing up and also embroidering. She was a member of the Teamsters and the Retiree Club. She often went to the casino with her Teamsters club. She loved spending time traveling with R.G. in their RV. Betty loved to watch the Chiefs and KU with her family. She also enjoyed spending time in her flower garden and watching the hummingbirds.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Artie Stephens; husband, Rufus “R.G.” Seymour and daughter, Becky Greer. She is survived by her daughters, Linda Frandsen and Deborah Townsend; son-in-law, Bobby Greer; 5 grandchildren (and spouses); 2 step-grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
