John Pua Miner Jr, 65, passed away in Kailua, HI on May 14th, 2019. John was born in Honolulu, HI on August 2nd, 1953 and was raised in Waimanalo, HI by his late parents John Sr. and Margaret (Kahlbaum) Miner. he is survived by his wife of 46 years, Valerie (Villanueva), children, John, Naomi and Nicholas, granddaughters Keiki and Kehani, great granddaughter, Taley and brother Paul.
John was a loving husband, a supportive father, a caring brother and was a loyal friend to all whom have known and met him. He worked in the medical field for 46 years and dedicated those years to Saint Francis Medical Center, Hawaii Pacific Health at Pali Momi and Kapiolani Medical Center, and Kuakini Health System. He was also with the Hawaii Army National Guard 291st and 298th Battalion and retired after 22 years of service.
John Miner's Celebration of Life will be held at Hawaiian Memorial Park on Friday, June 28th, 2019. Visitation will begin at 4:00 pm with memorial services to begin at 6:00 pm. At the family's request, please no floral arrangements.
