Carl was 89 when he passed peacefully in his Kailua home surrounded by his loving family. He was Raised in Puʻunui, Nuʻuanu with his five siblings: Francis, Audrey, Gwen, Paul, and Franklin. After eighth grade, Carl began his lifelong career of welding as an apprentice under German Machinist. He later perfected his trade by working for Tropical Welding and Honolulu Iron Works. In 1974 Carl began his own business named Oceanic Welding Inc. Carl always put his family first. He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Jean Denis; his daughters Jeanine Denis & Jamie Carlton; & his grandchildren Kalau, Mahie, Karli, & Rylie. He was a man of god, a role model to many, and a man never short of a story to tell. He will be missed and remembered in our hearts and minds forever.
