Lora Jean Hosek

It is with great sadness that the family of Lora Jean Hosek (Babuin) announce her passing. A devoted wife, loving mother, and faithful friend, Lora's time with us was too short. After struggling with recently discovered health issues, Lora passed peacefully on July 15th in her home at the age of 64. Born on September 2, 1957 to Albert and Helen Babuin, Lora was the second youngest of four daughters. She leaves behind her husband Rene, her son Daniel (and partner Serafina), her daughter Meghan (and husband Mike), her three granddaughters Ava, Aubree, and Adelayne and her beloved cat Ringo. Lora cared deeply for all of her family, near and far. She loved to make everyone happy, to care for them, and to cook delicious meals for them. She had a smile that could light up the room and lived to shop for, talk to and boast about her three grand-daughters. Lora, (Auntie Lori as I referred to you despite your constant reminders that that was not your name), a day will not pass, where you will not be in our thoughts. The family would like everyone to know that a celebration of Lora's life will be scheduled for a later date and will take place in Vancouver. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to a charity of your choice.
