Carmen is survived by her 4 children: Anthony Yanulik, Beverly Wight (Geoff), Troy Yanulik (Jason Luchie), and George Anderson (Leah McKibbin); and grandson Tyson Paloposki. Mom will also be missed by her 4 brothers George, Al, Bill and Darrel Bensmiller, and their families.
Mom was very organized and meticulous with everything she did. Her work life consisted of insurance sales, land surveying, administrative work in Armstrong at Crown-Zellerbach (now Tolko), where she was also an elected member of the City Council. She worked in real estate, liaised with the police department and worked in radio, among many other jobs throughout her life. She was active in the sports communities as well, with curling and slow-pitch as her favourites. Mom was a life-long learner and a dedicated volunteer. She gave her time to the Kinsmen Club, minor lacrosse, the Chamber of Commerce and was even Strata Council President later in life. Mom was an accomplished woman, having raised her 4 kids, working full-time and volunteering in her community. Even until her passing at 81, she was running her online Glass Menagerie business.
A time to honour Carmen and celebrate her life will be arranged at a later date.
