Winifred Teare Mullen passed away on August 7th 2023. She was born on February 28, 1924 to the late Genevieve and Albert Teare. She was married briefly to the late Edward Weinfurtner Jr. and together they were the parents of beloved deceased daughter Wendy Ann Weinfurtner and dear deceased son Edward (Ted) Weinfurtner III. She was married to the late William L. Mullen for 40 wonderful years. Winifred is preceded in death by her brother Donald Teare. She is survived by her sister Jeannette Teare Lenkoski, her granddaughter Lindsay Weinfurtner-Steele, great-granddaughters Everly and Leona Weinfurtner-Steele and several nieces and nephews. Also, survived by Bill's two daughters Christine Mullen and Amy Mullen.
"Win" was a graduate of the Hathaway Brown School, Georgetown Visitation Jr. College and Marymount College of Tarrytown New York. During World War II she worked in the Psychiatric Department of Crile Army Hospital, outside of Cleveland Ohio and was a member of The Junior League of America.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, William L Mullen, Jr. During those happy years they lived at "Sherwood Farm" breeding and raising Polled Hereford Cattle, a challenging and exciting time. In retirement from that wonderful life, Win and Bill settled into their quieter years at home in Lost Tree Village, Florida. Win was a member of the Lost Tree Club in North Palm Beach Florida and a former member of the Farmington Country Club in Charlottesville, Virginia. Her joys throughout her life were volunteering, continuing education, gardening, bridge, travelling with her husband Bill and homemaking.

A a celebration of life for Winifred will be held Wednesday, February 28, 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at Lost Tree Chapel, 11149 Turtle Beach Rd., North Palm Beach, FL.
