William "Bill" Bruce Hyland, 72, of Jupiter, Florida, passed away peacefully in his sleep of natural causes on October 4, 2024. Born July 6, 1952 in Fort Pierce, Florida, Bill was a proud lifelong Floridian who spent his early years in Fort Pierce and Miami before making Jupiter his home in 1994.
A graduate of Dan McCarty High School, Bill continued his education at Indian River Community College, where he earned his associate's degree. He dedicated his career to the healthcare field as a radiology technician. In 1984, he married Karen Hyland, beginning a partnership that would span nearly four decades.
Those who knew Bill will remember his contagious laugh that would fill a room. He was an unwavering fan of every Miami sports team and had an infamous sweet tooth. In his active years, he found joy in running, fishing, and pick-up games with his friends.
Bill was preceded in death by his beloved son, Sean Hyland and his parents, William Hyland and Clara Matalauy Strowe.
He is survived by his wife, Karen; his daughters, Heather and Shannon Hyland and his sister, Barbara Grenier.
In keeping with Bill's wishes, no services will be held. His ashes will be placed in a family memorial at Sean's grave site at Riverside Memorial Park, Tequesta, Florida. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, a cause close to their hearts following Sean's battle with the disease. https://www.cff.org/donate
