Nancy Linton Harrell

Surrounded at home by her loving family, Nancy, peacefully went to be with her Lord on May 7, 2024. She was born on November 15, 1927 in Florence, South Carolina, an only child of the late Hiram Kelly Linton, Jr. and Annie Ruth (Wilkins) Linton.

Nancy was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family well. She was 96 ½ years young with an independent spirit that enabled her to live alone and continue driving up until the last few months of her life, amazing all who knew her. She often commented on how truly blessed she was to have lived a long and full life. Nancy had a servant’s heart and volunteered at her church as part of the Care team sending cards, preparing meals, baking cookies and a host of other things to help where she could. She enjoyed spending time with her family, reading, cross stitching, cooking, and baking. Nancy was also known to enjoy a bowl of ice cream (or two) and a good Hallmark movie. She was known for her sweet southern accent and warm hospitality and gladly shared both with everyone who crossed her path.

Nancy was predeceased by her loving husband of 62 years, Albert Leslie Harrell, Jr. Their marriage was centered around their faith in God and were richly blessed with 3 children, 7 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.

Nancy will be greatly missed, but lovingly remembered by daughter, Pam Hodgkins and sons, Les (Diana) Harrell and Lint (Pat) Harrell; grandsons, Kevin Hodgkins, Keith (Molly) Hodgkins, Ian (Kristen) Harrell, Sean (Allison) Harrell and Sam Harrell; granddaughters, Brittany (Kevin) Wilson and Meagan (Tyler) Kettlewell; great grandsons, Hudson Hodgkins, Asher Harrell, Caleb Harrell, Camden Kettlewell, Conner and Christian Herd and great granddaughters, Kandys Hodgkins, Kherington Wilson, Abigail and Eliza Harrell, Maeve and Rayla Hodgkins.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at Oceanview United Methodist Church located at 701 Ocean Drive, North Palm Beach, FL 33408 on Thursday, May 16, at 1:00 pm. The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following. Donations may be made in her honor to CROS Ministries 3677 23rd Ave S. B-101, Lake Worth Beach, FL 33461.
