Of Columbus, Ohio and Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away peacefully on October 13, 2016. She was born June 3, 1935 to Stephen and Kathryn Stumph and graduated from Regina High School in Cincinnati, Ohio. In 1957, she married Richard H. Dickhaus. Mary Ellen and Richard settled in Columbus, Ohio where Mary Ellen devoted her life to her husband and their six children. Mary Ellen’s unwavering faith was her constant strength and she was an inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Mary Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, Richard; her children Thomas (Julie) Stone, James Dickhaus; Linda (Ronald) Montaquila, Lisa (Ramon) Ahumada, David (Elizabeth) Dickhaus, Mark (Susan) Dickhaus; and grandchildren Rebecca, Jordan, Francisco, Maria Elena, Sarah, Matthew, Gregg and Margeret. She is also survived by brothers and sisters-in-law John (Mary) Stumph and Michael (Karen) Stumph, sister-in-law Phyllis Dickhaus, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary Ellen is preceded in death by her parents, sister and brother-in-law Kathryn and Peter Marschall, sister-in-law Patricia and husband Clyde Wells, and brother-in-law Lawrence Dickhaus.
Friends and family may visit from 5pm to 7pm on Sunday, October 16th at Aycock-Riverside Funeral Home, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter. A Mass of the Resurrection will be held on Monday, October 17th at 10:00 am at St. Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Parkway, Jupiter, FL. A Memorial Mass will be held on November 5, 2016 at 5:00 pm at St. Anthony Catholic Church in Columbus, Ohio.
