Marie was borin in Massillon, Ohio on March 29th, 1919. Her parents, Leo and Cora Dalsky raised Marie and her two siblings, Art and Dorothy. After high school, Marie obtained a nursing degree, of which she was very proud. Two days before Pearl Harbor, Marie married John Marcus Steiner, the love of ther life. Together they raised four children, John, Jim, Susan and Chris. John's work as an executive in the dairy business led them from Akron, Ohio to St. Louis, Missouri, to Toronto, Ontario and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Marie settled the family in each new location. Marie had a passion for nature and wildlife. She and John introduced their children to Nationl Parks, camping in the wildreness and service through scouting. Marie was particularly proud of her leadership in the cub scouts and girl scouts. Marie was a master bridge player and continued playing into her eighties. She also enjoyed golfing and traveling with her husband, John. After John's retirement they settled in Florida where Marie loved to swin and walk the beach, where she would identify birds.Several years after John's death Marie moved from Florida to Denver, to be closer to her daughter Susan. Her new home was Cranbrook Assisted Living. From her lovely apartment on the third floor she fed the birds and wathched the animals: "her" horses, the wild foxes, coyote and deer. Marie was a person of deep faith and enjoyed Sunday mass and weekly Rosary at Cranbrook. Marie is survived by her four children and grandchildren: John and his wife Dianne and their children Kent, Justin and Heather; Jim and his children Chris and John; Susan and her husband Bob and their children Cali and Brittany and Chris and her husband Hank and their children Tate, Rob, HJ and Claire. Marie was greatly loved as a wife, mother and grandmother and she will be sorely missed on this earth.
