89, of Palm Beach Gardens, Florida passed away on October 11, 2012. A loving father, grandfather, and brother and husband of 54 years to the late Mary LeBlanc he will be truly missed by all who knew him.
Lionel was born in New Brunswick, Canada to Harold and Lorraine LeBlanc. He was a longtime resident of Cape Cod prior to moving to Florida. He proudly served his country in the US Navy Destroyer Division during WWII where he saw action in the North Atlantic, Mediterranean, Africa, Sicily, and Italy. He earned many Military commendations including 7 battle stars, a Purple Heart, and a Presidential Unit Citation.
Lionel attended Vesper George College of Art, graduating at the top of his class. He enjoyed continuing education classes at Harvard Extension and in Florida well into his ‘80’s.
From 1962-1986, Lionel was the Senior Vice President of Creative Services and Executive Producer of Arnold and Company Inc, Boston, MA. Lionel had many of his advertisements and marketing products showcased in regional and national trade magazines, newspapers, billboards, radio and television and received many industry awards from the National Association of Advertising and other organizations.
Lionel served on the Board of Directors for Arnold and Company, Inc, the New England School of Art and was a Golden T-Square Recipient. Lionel was the President of the Art Directors Club of Boston and served as a Board Member of the Museum of Contemporary Art .
From 1986-2012, Lionel joined New Seabury Corporation where he was a member of the New Seabury Executive Committee and the New Product Development Committee.
Lionel will be truly missed by his family including his daughter Nancy L. Burden and husband Christopher of New Seabury, MA; Son Paul LeBlanc and wife Anne of Concord, MA; Son Michael LeBlanc and his wife Mary of Cotuit, MA; son Peter LeBlanc and his wife Elizabeth of Harvard, MA, brothers Paul, Harold, and Harvey LeBlanc; sister Peggy Hawley; as well as 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
