Linda Heard

Linda was born in Mount Vernon, NY on July 7, 1942, the daughter of Harold and Dorothy Bateman. She was raised in Hartsdale, NY and graduated from the White Plains High School Class of 1960. Linda was also a graduate of the University of Miami with a Bachelor of Arts.

Linda enjoyed gardening, reading, and volunteering at Blowing Rocks Preserve. She spent more than 30 years with the State of Florida as a Social Worker, Juvenile Probation Officer in Miami, and In-Court Liaison in West Palm Beach until her retirement.

Linda is survived by her husband of 50 years, Bruce G. Heard; brother, Richard (Elizabeth) Bateman of Waltham, MA; cousins, Janet Skidmore of Henderson, NC, Pamela Bissell of Stuart, FL, and James Skidmore III of Chalfort, PA; brother-in-laws, Charles (Kay) Heard of Chatham, NJ, and Gerald (Linda) Heard of Belford, NJ; and eight nephews and nieces.
