John graduated from Lafayette High School in 1964. He married his high school sweetheart Anna Marie “Gallucci” Lictro, they were married 58 years. John worked at the Federal Reserve Bank of New York. He was a 4th degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus, a member of St. Finbar’s Holy Name Society, an Usher for Church, Boy Scout Leader, and a proud member of the FOP.
John loved spending time with his family more than anything, watching his grandchildren play sports, he loved fishing, bowling, dressing up as Santa on Christmas Eve, giving out candy on Halloween, watching WWE, sports, Twilight, 90 Day Finance, The Godfather, Sean Hannity, and most of all he was inseparable from his dog Peppi. John loved being with his friends and most recently he was enjoying spending time with his new friends in his community. He loved hosting and talking to everyone, we used to call him the Mayor. John made everyone he met feel special.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Anna Marie; his son, John D. Lictro and his partner Paula Applin; his daughter, Dina Lictro and her husband Martin Broadnix; his three grandchildren, Isabella Lictro, Chase Reinstein and Ryder Broadnix; two step-grandsons, Hunter and Tyler Broadnix; his sister-in-law, Francine Gallucci and his sweet dog, Peppi.
Visitation for John will be held on Wednesday, September 11, 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Aycock-Riverside Funeral and Cremation Center, 1112 Military Trail, Jupiter, FL 33458. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 11:00 AM at St Peter Catholic Church, 1701 Indian Creek Pkwy, Jupiter, FL 33458. A committal service will follow at The Gardens of Boca Raton - Cemetery, 4103 N. Military Trl, Boca Raton, FL 33431. If you would like to make a donation in John’s name, his favorite charities were: St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, Shriners Hospital for Children, and Tunnel to Towers.
